Spoilers follow.
For the amount of danger that the carriers represent, anyone who knows about them doesn't think it important to tell anyone else. You don't need a cure if you just kill the people most likely to spread the infection- and you can still analyze their blood etc. afterwards.
Why don't the buildings catch on fire and burn down after being fire-bombed?
I suppose the code red procedures are extremely unsuited to an actual infected outbreak because the military never actually encountered them before? And I suppose the returnees didn't deserve to be informed? And why is there an urgent need to recolonize anyway?
This movie seemed to have more supernatural zombies as opposed to more realistic 'rage' humans- the shot of the infected guy walking with a huge hole in his chest is obviously not just an angry person.
The night vision sequence was truly awful. Almost as bad as the night-vision sequence in the remake of Rollerball- is it Blair Witch inspired? And why wouldn't the woman with the night vision walk in front with the kids trailing behind?
The first movie really lost momentum when the characters made it to the house with the British soldier holed up inside- this movie was a little better paced, but not nearly as interesting.
